You can wander across the river to explore the other side of Berat, and parking nearby is straightforward (pro tip: leave your big suitcases in the car and bring a smaller bag, it makes the short walk up much easier). The rooms? Cozy, clean, and bursting with traditional Albanian charm. Staying at Tradita e Beratit feels like a step back in time, in the best way.

We even had the sweetest surprise outside our door, a little nest of kittens in a box. Talk about adorable! And now, the food. Oh, the food. Whether it’s breakfast or dinner, the dishes at Tradita e Beratit are nothing short of spectacular. One evening, we didn’t even bother ordering; we just trusted the server, and they brought out a spread of traditional Albanian dishes that left us speechless. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and so authentic. This is the place to experience the true taste of Berat.
